LEE-JACKSON BANQUET

The annual Lee-Jackson Banquet will be held at
The Holiday Inn on S. Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville. If you wish to attend and have yet to advise Marshall Judd, please contact him at 537-2001 or hmjudd@hotmail.com or hmjudd@webtv.net Advise how many from your family will attend.
Tickets are $ 25.00 per person.

NEW APPLICANTS

New applications must include a check in the amount of $ 40.00. SCV International receives $ 25.00, Tennessee Division receives $ 5.00 and the camp receives $ 10.00. With these dues you receive a monthly subscription to Confederate Veteran Magazine and the camp newsletter, the Highlander Dispatch, and also Forrests Escort, the quarterly newsletter from the Tennessee Division. All excellent publications that we hope will entertain, and keep you abreast of heritage issues.

~~ "I had a "DRUG" problem" ~~

I had a "drug" problem when I was a young person and a teenager:

I was "drug" to church on Sunday morning.
I was "drug" to school everyday.
I was "drug" to apologize even times when I was Right.
I was "drug" to family functions.
I was "drug" to Sunday School every week .
I was "drug" to Vacation Bible School.
I was also "drug" to the woodshed when I disobeyed my parents.

Those "drugs" are still in my veins; and they affect my behavior in everything I do, say, and think. They are stronger than cocaine, crack or heroin. And if our children had this kind of "drug" problem, America would certainly be a better place.

FINAL REMINDER
International, Division & Camp dues
Dues were payable to our treasurer on August 1. If you have not renewed, please remit as soon as possible. All subscriptions and membership privileges expire on January 31st. There is also a $ 5.00 reinstatement fee that will be assessed after January 31st. $ 35.00 annual $ 15.00 lifetime
