I have this photo circa 1909 of The Robert Newton Brownlee family. Robert was born in Jackson, Butts County, GA and migrated to Texas, then Oklahoma where this photo was most likely taken. The youngest child in the photo is out Great Aunt Clara Bell who is still living. She is frail but quite healthy (mind and body). Their identities: Back row: Edna Elizabeth "Bettie" b. 5 Apr 1891 d. 2 Jul 1976; Lena Pearl 15 Jan 1897 - 13 Dec 1973; Mattie & Hattie (or visa-versa) 17 Jul 1901 - 14 Feb 1975 & 14 Oct 1988; James Robert "Bob" Brownlee 13 Apr 1899 - 1963. Front row: David Newton 9 Oct 1887-24 Nov 1955 & wife Hattie Rosella (Null) 15 Sep 1892 -14 Feb 1965 (our grandparents); Robert Newton (our great-grandfather) b. 3 Nov 1861 in Jackson, Butts Co, Georga to James M. Brownlee and Elizabeth Hoard, d. 13 Oct 1942 in Johnston Co, Oklahoma. He is holding William Thomas "Tom" 2 Feb 1904 - 5 Feb 1982; Mary Jane "Mollie" (Bartlett) (great-grandmother) b. 20 Sep 1866 d. 19 Apr 1952, holding Clara Bell b. 8 May 1906 (still living); Neal Jennings (husband of Elma), Elma 5 Apr 1891 - 2 Jul 1976, holding Agnes; and Earl Madison Brownlee 5 Apr 1889 - 29 Jan. 1963. If anyone has a photo of James M. Brownlee and family, please let me know? We believe he died before 1866 in the Civil War, Elizabeth remarried to Henderson Hale. We also know that james & Elizabeth had Martha, a sister to Robert, b. 1863 and married a Saunders? in Butts County, but have no other data on her family or decendents and would love to correspond with them.
