Others identified by the numbers written on this photo [a copy of the faded original] are: [2] his son~in~law Charles Richard Carter (1856 ~ 1925); [3] daughter Victoria Ellen Thaxton Carter (1854 ~ 1927); and [4] his wife Martha Jane Weaver Thaxton ( 1816 ~ 1893 ), as well as son [5] David J. Thaxton, editor of the Middle Georgia Argus, and daughter~in~law [6] Mrs. David J. Thaxton (Margaret Clemintine Carmichael).
