Lt. Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest - by Joy Garner
Lt. General Nathan Bedford Forrest was one of America's most
remarkable men and is considered by many to be this country's
most outstanding cavalry commander.
During Forrest's military career he captured 31,000 prisoners,
came under the fire 179 times, and had 29 horses shot from under
him. Forrest reportedly said, " They got 29 of my horses
but I am one up on them. " With his own hands he had killed
30 of the enemy.
Now you can own a limited edition print of Lt. General Nathan
Bedford Forrest by Joy Garner. The print was commissioned by the
Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 28 to raise funds to place
a bust of Forrest in the Tennessee State Capital. A limited number
of the prints remain.
The print is 30" high x 24" wide and suitable for
framing. The print is a accurate rendition of the original painting
by Joy Garner.
